Yield: Yields one loaf of bread; Serves 8 to 10
Making a compound butter with sautéed instead of raw garlic helps mellow the flavor, whlie baking the bread in a paper bag helps crisp up the crust. You can adjust the amount of garlic to suit your tolerance: 1 clove for mild or up to 4 for high potency.
For herbed garlic bread, add 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley or 2 Tbs. chopped fresh thyme, oregano, chives, or basil to the butter along with the garlic.
Look no further...for the BEST garlic bread ever! Just make sure you use a good loaf of bread!
Perfect and yummy flavor of garlic bread.
We've made this multiple times. A real favorite! Love the paper bag trick, makes for a great crust. All guests devour this.. We could polish a whole loaf too, just the two of us....
Best garlic bread I've ever made!!! Almost finished off a whole loaf (it was a smallish loaf)between two of us!!!
