Loved this recipe! It was easy and delicious when made just as written. I did substitute 4 cups of chicken bone broth for 4 cups of chicken stock.
Made as written and something is off with this recipe. Not enough barley for the amount of beef and WAY TOO MUCH broth. Cooked and extra 3/4 of cooked barley and there was still too much broth. Recommend to reduce broth to 6 cups and increase barley to 1 1/2 cups.
Excellent. Made as written in the recipe, but substituted beef bone broth in place of the beef base.
Can I use this in a slow cooker and how long would it cook?
