Yield: Yields one 14-inch stromboli
Putting tomato sauce inside a stromboli tends to keep the inner dough from cooking, so I serve it on the side for dipping instead. This recipe only uses a half-batch of the basic pizza dough; you can freeze the leftover dough or double this recipe to make two stromboli.
Substitute another soft melting cheese for the mozzarella, such as Monterey Jack, provolone, Gouda, smoked mozzarella, or smoked Gouda.

This turned out perfectly, following the directions as given. Used half mozzarella and half smoked Gouda. I made this for a Super Bowl party and it was loved by all.
