Very Berry Smoothie

Servings: 1 to 2

A perfect summertime smoothie, with a boost from flaxseeds.


  • 1-1/4 cups frozen blueberries (about 6 oz.)
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries (about 5 oz.)
  • 1-1/2 cups unsweetened coconut or almond milk; more as needed
  • 1-1/2 cups frozen banana (about 1 large banana)
  • 1 tsp. flaxseed, whole or ground
  • 1 Tbs. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract


Put the berries, coconut milk, banana, flaxseed, honey, and vanilla in a blender. Begin processing on low speed and slowly increase the speed to high; blend until smooth, about 1 minute. Add coconut milk as needed to thin the smoothie enough to blend.
