This fresh green, creamy dip, excerpted from the cookbook The Food You Crave, has all the classic hummus flavors of garlic, cumin, and lemon. But it is light on the cumin and garlic in favor of a big citrus punch. Its mellow, bright flavor and smooth texture make it the perfect companion to the bold spicy shards of pita.

This is a winner!
This was a huge hit at a family gathering recently! Everyone, male and female, from the two-year olds to those over 50 enjoyed it.Follow the directions as written or add more garlic and cumin, you decide.I served this with New York Style 3 Spice Pita Chips (Store bought). Can also be served with baked corn chips or crudite'.My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter gobbled it up. Add some grated carrot and stuff it into half of piece of pita bread(plain or whole wheat)and enjoy!
